Many people have dreams of being weekend warriors after pinning posts on Pinterest and watching DIY TV shows. Craig and I had dreams of being DIY weekend warriors with a beautiful backyard oasis throwing garden parties and barbecues. We got this house knowing that it was a fixer upper. That’s not even describing this house accurately. Maybe ugly, outdated money pit is more like it, but we saw all the potential of all the things we wanted to do. Well, it’s been three years, not much has been done and we cringe at the thought of people even stopping by our house to drop off a pizza. I crop my pictures of my kids and dog so people don’t see my hideous yard.
There is always something coming up that keeps our dream project from happening. Unfortunately, with both my husband and I having very busy lives, a limited budget, kids and a dog, our yard has been a bit neglected in the beautification process.
Pardon the ugly pictures, I didn’t attempt to use filters, stage my pictures or attempt to crop out any horrid looking items. I wanted to capture the pure, ugly rawness of my yard and the items in and around it. Please join me and my husband in our adventure of trying to do this yard makeover without breaking our backs or the bank.
Our goal is try to do something every weekend as long as schedules, budget and unpredictable weather are all compliant.
We look forward to you being a part of our project
My ugly tree, with my ugly fence, ugly garage and ugly “lawn”
My ugly lawn that my lovely dog has made into her personal racetrack
My ugly yard, ugly garage and ugly driveway.
My ugly yard, my ugly lawn and my cute dog.
Very useful, looking ahead to coming back again. http://bit.ly/2f0xJ92
