I inherited yarn! That’s something you don’t normally hear from someone! I got a phone call from my father just the other day. My stepmother Judy was cleaning out their spare bedroom and found a giant box of yarn that was once her mother’s. Judy’s mom was an avid crocheter. She was always working on something. She actually had a stash of blankets ready for baby showers, bridal showers etc. Her blankets were such a welcomed gift. I still have quite a few of them myself.
Anyway, my dad wanted to know if I wanted this big box of yarn. Judy never took up any kind of yarn craft, so it’s just been sitting in the spare room collecting dust. They know that I love to crochet, so I jumped immediately to accept this gift. So now, I am left with… What am I going to do with all this beautiful yarn!?!
I am looking for new and exciting projects. Although I do enjoy making blankets, I thought some of these gadgets would be fun to try:
I’ve recently had my eye on this Martha Stewart Starter Weaving Machine
or this Knit and Weave Kit
or maybe this pom pom maker
So many ideas. I cannot wait to share them all with you and look forward to some suggestions also. What would you do with all this yarn?
