This past weekend my cover band had a show at the Women’s Right To Rock Festival in Seneca Falls, NY. We had a blast playing and met so many other great female fronted bands.
Custom Bass Drum Vinyl Project
In preparation for the show, my drummer decided to get a new bass drum head and wanted me to add our logo in vinyl to it. I wasn’t able to get the exact color we were looking for that quickly so I picked up some Oracal 631 at Joann’s and the color was pretty close. (I would normally use 651 because it’s more permanent.) I grabbed the artwork from my wonderful significant other, JC, and settled in with my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the logo. I traced the logo in my software and cut out each word separately due to the size we needed. (It’s a 24-inch diameter drum head).
Thanks to JC for “modeling” the drumhead for the picture! Then we decided we had room for a bug in the corner (We are The Windshield Bugs, after all) so JC manipulated a bug file he had and I again traced in my software and cut out. The results are below:
